Hiding from your friends on Discord has always been possible thanks to Invisible mode, but that status won’t save you anymore. Discord has added a new feature to the client on both PC and mobile that shows when users were last online, which can expose you to your friends even if you have your status set to Invisible.
Just like on gaming platforms and some other social media sites, your Discord profile will now show the last time you were online chatting in DMs or your favorite server. This is a huge change and a pretty big invasion of privacy for some users, but thankfully, there are still some ways for you to keep using Discord without making your presence known to your entire friend list.
How to Hide Your Discord Last Online Time
Unfortunately, there is no way to permanently hide your last online time on Discord. Your profile will always show the last time you were online no matter what you do.
However, as long as you keep your status set to Invisible, the last online time will not update despite what some people have been saying. The last online time only updates whenever your Discord profile’s status becomes Active. As long as the light on your profile never turns green, Discord won’t update your last online time.
This update isn’t going away, but now you know how to permanently remain hidden from everyone on Discord even after the new changes. Your last online status is determined completely client-side, so as long as you never swap off of Invisible status, you’ll be fine. Be careful when using multiple platforms, especially mobile devices, and consoles, since your preferences may not save across devices. Going online for even a second will flag Discord and update your profile’s last online time, which defeats the purpose of being Invisible.
