The great thing about Hades 2 is that it builds on the first one in the best ways. You can see this in the resources you find and potentially farm. Wool is one of those resources, and if you want to know how to farm it in Hades 2, keep reading.
Hades 2: How to farm Wool
The one thing to note is you can’t technically farm Wool as you’d farm for Silver. But even with that information, you can still earn it repeatedly. This is due to the Hades 2 roguelike gameplay. Once you die, you start over and have to do everything again.
So if you can’t farm wool, how can one get wool? The answer to that lies on the surface in the City of Ephyra. To do that, you must unlock Incantations that allow you to roam on the surface. When you have these buffs, you can travel to the city. Within the city, you’re going to have to clear six rooms to disable the pillars blocking a path to a boss battle — we’ll get to that later.Â
Once you clear up each of the six rooms, there will be a symbol showing the Wool symbol and you guessed, a boss icon too. This icon represents Cyclops Polyphemus who is a Guridian of Ephyra. So to get Wool, you have to get past him.
How to beat Cyclops Polyphemus
This guy has a ton of AoE attacks and is a far cry from Erebus. First, his jump attack which causes a shockwave within the ring does a lot of damage. My advice would be to move out his limits but don’t do this just once. He will jump down a few times causing a string of these attacks to chain together which makes dodging harder. However, most of these attacks are fairly slow. As long as you anticipate these moves, and time to dodge well, you can defeat the cyclopes.
Oh, he also has other enemies drop in to join the fight. But if you’ve faced any other bosses in Hades 2, take them first and then deal with cyclopes.
If you want to keep up to date with the future of Hades 2, the game’s roadmap can give you a taste of what’s to come.
