The Front: How to drink water and fill thirst bar

After you spawn in for the first time and start making things, you’ll slowly unlock more and more crafting recipes. But none of them allow you to magically create water. How you can get water in The Front is by going to a water source and drinking straight from the water.

It’s a lot simpler than you may realize. Just like in the wild, you have to search for your own food and water to survive. At the beginning of the game, you have a few select spawn points, all within range of the sea. The Front takes place on a gigantic island, but if you spawned in the middle, you’d struggle to get water.

So make sure to make your first base near the beach where you spawn. I’m sure once you play this game more, you’ll be able to unlock easier ways of collecting water. But for now, you simply must walk up to a water source — the best is the ocean — and hold F to drink.

Keep holding the button until the blue marker makes a full circle, and you should see your thirst bar increase by a large amount. Drink until your bar is at 100, and you’re good to go! Your thirst bar degrades pretty slowly, so you shouldn’t have to worry about constantly running to water to drink.
