How to get to Snowfield Stable in Tears of the Kingdom

It's cold outside.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is a massive game, with an open-world that’s one of the biggest in gaming. Combining all elements of the map, it’s a much larger game than its predecessor. This means there are tons of little places you can go to and have fun, but with that comes challenges. Challenges such as the temperature, with some areas being too hot or too cold to get there without special equipment. One of these places is the north-west area of the map, which houses a snowy area. In the north-west section of the map, you can find Snowfield Stable, which is a location that’s key for certain side quests, and is a good resting spot if you need it while adventuring. Here’s our guide on how to get to Snowfield Stable in Tears of the Kingdom.

The location of Snowfield Stable is just below where the Great Fairy Mija is, and can be found in the upper north-west of the map. It’s also to the south-east of a Skyview Tower with the name Pikida Stonegrove. This part of the map can be tricky to get to as it’s kind of out of the way, but with the Great Fairy Fountain that’s there, and the quest you can get here to retrieve Zelda’s horse as part of the Lucky Clover Gazette quest chain, it makes the journey worthwhile.

Getting to the stable

The trickiest part about getting to the Snowfield Stable is the temperature. The climate of the area is cold, meaning you will need protective clothing or food that grants resistances to get there without hassle. The easiest method you can use to do this is to simply put on some clothes, you can find some of these on the Great Sky Island, and you can find these trousers extremely early on. You can see the location in the map below.

Another method you can use is cooking food that grants cold resistance. There are multiple different methods of cooking these foods, and you can see an example of how to cook these foods in our guide about the cold area on the Great Sky Island. Which is also the location of the Archaic Warm Greaves.

You can also even just light a torch, or a metal weapon fused with a pile of wood, which will keep you warm as you journey to the Snowfield Stable. This method is a lot slower mind you, with you being only able to walk during this time.

With these tips, you should be able to get to the Snowfield Stable with no issues.
