The Resident Evil 4 remake demo was dropped after the Capcom Spotlight last week, and it’s a real thrill to experience. You play through the opening section of the game, trying to survive after Leon S. Kennedy discovers something amiss in a small European town. You can find many things in this demo, like a shotgun for example, but there’s also some secrets to behold. One such secret is the inclusion of the TMP submachine gun, which you can access by performing some odd steps. Here’s our guide on how to get the TMP in Resident Evil 4 remake’s demo.
Resident Evil 4 remake demo – What to do to get the TMP
To get the TMP in the Resident Evil 4 remake demo, you’re going to need to do a few oddly specific steps. The first of which is to play the game normally up until you reach the gates leading into the village. You can recognize these gates by the size of them, along with the severed heads and spikes that line their tops.
Once you reach these gates, you’re going to want to discard everything in your inventory. No, you didn’t misread that: you have to drop literally everything from your inventory before you go through these gates. Luckily, it won’t matter much once you receive the TMP.
Once you enter the village through the gates, you’re going to want to take the first right that you see. You’re going to have to navigate around an enemy doing this, so beware, as they can grab you pretty easily. After you navigate around the enemy, you’re going to want to take a left at the end of this path, and you should see a well next to the cart that a Red Herb is sitting on. This is the well you’re going to need to descend to get the TMP in the Resident Evil 4 remake demo.
Getting the TMP
Get to the well, and use the prompt to descend it, and you should see a blue chest in front of you — that’s the location of the TMP. You can also break the barrels behind this chest for various other goodies, such as a kitchen knife to fill the knife-shaped hole in your inventory.
After you’ve completed the steps, you’ll also get the TMP on any other subsequent runs of the Resident Evil 4 remake demo. This includes if you quit your current run and start up a new one. You won’t have to beat the run where you discard everything, which is nice.
Resident Evil 4 remake is available on Steam.
