Red Widow Armor in Remnant 2

How to get the Red Widow Armor in Remnant 2

Pretty serious widow.

Now, as with most things in the procedurally generated game of Remnant 2, the red widow armor isn’t a guaranteed find. The map is randomly generated for every playthrough, and the dungeons you need to access certain things are not always going to be present. The dungeon that holds the Red Widow Armor in Remnant 2 may not spawn for you. If you are struggling to find it, you may have to reroll the campaign and look again. However, if you have it, get ready for some puzzles and a lot of fun.

The Red Widow Armor in Remnant 2 is an amazing bit of gear. It looks sick and has some pretty hefty stats. You can look good and feel good, provided you have the metal required to beat the Dungeon.

To get your hands on this gear, you will first need to defeat The Lament dungeon. It can be found in the region of Yaesha. Where it decides to show up is random, but a number of reports have placed it in the Forgotten Grove, which is your starting area, but it has also been found in the Faithless Thicket. Either way, keep plugging until you find it.

The Lament Dungeon in Remnant 2

This is a puzzle dungeon, so put your weapons away and get your thinking helmet on. The Red Widow Armor set awaits in Remnant 2.

  • Arrow corridor – This will be your first challenge. The corridor of arrows will continually fire on alternate sides. So, take it slow, crouch under the arrows, and move forward. Once you get to the ledges you need to climb, time your move between shots. The pressure plates you stand on will only reverse the arrow’s timing. The lever at the end will open up the shortcut.
  • Shrouded Bodies – You will notice symbols, bodies, and their shrouds in this area. Before you do anything, head down into the pit and pick up the journal on the floor. Take note of the rune inside the journal and then find each of the bodies with it printed on their shroud.
  • Runes – Note down the glowing rune above each of these bodies. The four runes you find are entered upstairs by the door. You will find a codex wheel you can spin. However, the order doesn’t matter. This will unlock the next door on your quest through The Lament and a step closer to the Red Widow Armor.

  • Checkpoint – Then, make your way through the corridor toward the checkpoint. Open the two chests on either side and fight the enemies within. The reward is a new mod and a quest item. Get to the checkpoint, pick up the blood-tinged ring, then start smashing pots until you find a dropdown. Continue through this, under a waterfall, and pick up the supply room key. Head back up the dropdown, and continue on through the hallway. Make your way up a ladder and unlock the next shortcut in the Remnant 2 Lament dungeon.
  • Unlock the Supply Room – Then, head back to the hallway and unlock the supply room at the end. This is full of loot. Climb the shelves and drop down into the next room.
  • Navigate the spinning blades – So these blades are very simple. However, keep away from the edges and pay attention to the pattern of the roof blades. If you chase the one moving away from you, it is possible to alternate all the way down to the room at the end. This room contains the Red Widow Armor in Remnant 2.
  • Claim your prize – Finally, head over to the chest in the middle of the room and claim your Red Widow armor. Personally, I think this is some of the best-balanced armor for its weight in the game.
