How to get the Mythic Buster Sword R5 in Apex Legends

One of a kind.

It’s not often we get collaborations within Apex Legends, but when we do, they’re some of the best in gaming. This is the case with the new Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth partnership between the two titles. Some legendary items that players will want to snag are coming to Apex, including the Mythic Buster Sword R5.

To get Cloud’s Mythic Buster Sword, you’re going to unlock this cosmetic via event packs. Respawn has noted that the sword will be “awarded via event packs with no duplicates of event items.”

Furthermore, they went on to elaborate that Buster Sword R5 will have “no gameplay abilities and can be equipped in place of your heirloom or fists.”

The Mythic Buster Sword R5 cosmetic won’t be purchasable via the in-game mythic store once the event concludes. This means you must log in and see if you have enough luck on your side to snag the item before the event.

However, one nice aspect is that no duplicates can be opened via the event packs. So, realistically, if you get 36 packs, you’re guaranteed to open the cosmetic! Of course, this will upset some people as there are always practical reasons why we are not able to log onto the game for a certain period. It also does add some variety to the item, making it worthwhile for players.

In the meantime, we’ll be sure to keep you posted on all the news surrounding the new Apex Legends event, and you can stay up to date with other news here.
