How to get Script PagesĀ in Lorelei and the Laser Eyes

Yes, that's a real gun

The hunt for Script Pages is one of several recurring puzzles in the Hotel. These mysterious items are referenced quite early and won’t make much sense later. If you’re intrigued, here’s how to get Script Pages in Lorelei and the Laser Eyes.

What are Script Pages in Lorelei and the Laser Eyes?

Just so we’re all on the same page, let me quickly explain what Script Pages are. I’ll be diving into spoiler territory here, so consider yourself warned, but you will obtain your first page through regular gameplay.

You won’t find a single Script Page until you’ve visited the back garden and retrieved the key to room 1847.

Whenever you find a Script Page, you can take it to room 1963 (pictured above). This room is just west of the room you’re given to stay in.

Once again, we have massive spoilers ahead. When you enter room 1847 for the first time, interact with the broken window and speak to the “woman on the other side.” You’ll be teleported to a strange place called the Red Maze. When you return, you’ll be warned that something has followed you into your world.

After this ominous message, eerie figures wearing suits with tiles for faces will periodically chase you. For the longest time, I did everything I could to escape these entities but you must let them catch you.

When you’re caught, you’re taken into an observation test, and this is one of the few parts of the game where you can be killed. If you die, it’s game over, and you must restart from your last save point.

Sadly, I can’t guide you through the observation tests, as the answers are randomized. You’ll be taken into a scene you can walk around while time stands still. When you’re ready, press any button, and you’ll be asked a multiple-choice question about what you saw. You earn a Script Page if you’re right, and you earn a bullet if you screw up.

There’s no time limit, so take everything in and write down anything unusual. In my experience, most of the answers focus on obvious things like words on screens or events, but your mileage may vary.

These figures will spawn at random in the future, so I recommend saving your progress often, just in case.

You don’t have much control over when these figures show up, but you can focus on other recurring puzzles whenever you like. The Document Tubes are a great place to start, as they offer game-changing rewards when you collect them.
