Chapter 10 is challenging in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth since you must fight the boss Gi Nattak. What seems like a straightforward fight soon becomes troubling as he casts “Doom” on you, which can kill you if the timer runs out.
One accessory that can save you from instant death is “Safety Bit.” This guide will explain how to get it.
Where to find the Safety Bit accessory in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth
The Safety Bit grants immunity to instant death, petrify, and stone. This helpful accessory can be found in Chapter 7 of FF7 Rebirth after completing the Coal Mines area.
Once you return to controlling Cloud again, go down the tracks and take a left off the tracks into a small-sized area. Inside the shed, you will find a chest containing the Safety Bit. The exact location is shown in the image below.
No worries if you have passed Chapter 7 and didn’t claim the Safety Bit in this area. You can fast travel to the Coal Mines fast travel point and backtrack to the accessories location. Here is the closest fast travel point to the Safety Bit accessory:
Gi Nattak boss fight
The Safety Bit comes in handy when you face off against Gi Nattak in Chapter 10. When you drain the boss’s health to about 25%, he will cast Doom on you and your party members, giving you a time limit. If the time reaches zero, your entire party will die, and you must redo the fight.
If you have Safety Bit equipped, you will survive Doom even when the timer reaches zero. This can be all you need to win the fight, considering Gi Nattak only has about 25% of his health left at this point in the battle.
Considering you most likely only have one Safety Bit equipped, your party members without it will die. When this happens, it’s essential that the first action you take is to use Phoenix Down on your party members. This will bring them back into the fight to help finish the battle against Gi Nattak.
Other than that, Gi Nattak is a straightforward boss fight. He has no elemental weaknesses, but unleashing as many abilities on him should be enough to apply pressure and stagger him (he usually staggers when the bar reaches 40%). As long as you survive Doom, you should be able to take him down with almost no problem.
Gi Nattak is not the only boss who uses instant death methods. The Tonberry King also does this during the “Saga of the Seaside Inn” side quest, so it’s good that you are prepared and have it in your arsenal.
