Diablo 4: Where to find the Malignant Ring of Red Furor

Although Malignant Hearts were a staple of Season 1, the Malignant Rings are reminiscent them. If you’re playing a Barbarian or plan to play one in the future, you’ll want to know this information. How you can get the Ring of Red Furor in Diablo 4 is by farming it from the Echo of Varshan.

Echo of Varshan is a much stronger enemy than he was back in Season 1, and this time he’s an Uber Boss. This is only available for endgame players, so wait until you can reach World Tier 3, and your character is above Level 60. You’ll then need to collect the specific items needed to summon this endgame boss:

  • Gurgling Head
  • Blackened Femur
  • Trembling Hand
  • Malignant Heart

The Malignant Heart is only attainable in World Tier 4, and that’s only if you want to fight Varshan in World Tier 4. But in World Tier 3, you only need the other three Malignant Body Parts. The only ways you can come by these items is by completing Grim Favors at the Tree of Whispers, or killing Grotesque Debtors during Blood Harvests.

Once you complete 10 Grim Favors you’ll get a Whisper Cache that may contain a Malignant Body Part. Gather all the Body Parts and take them to The Writhing Mire, which is beside the Tree of Whispers, to summon Varshan. Upon defeat, you have the chance to earn the Ring of Red Furor.

These Malignant Rings are pretty powerful, especially this one for Barbarians. The effect is that after you spend 100 Fury within three seconds, your next cast of Hammer of the Ancients, Upheaval, or Death Blow is a guaranteed Critical Strike that deals 10-30% bonus Critical Strike Damage. Here are the other Affixes:

  • Fire Resistance
  • Resistance to All Elements
  • Strength
  • Attack Speed
  • Maximum Fury
  • Resource Generation

Having guaranteed Critical Strikes can easily turn the tides of battle. Luckily, the Malignant Rings are available in both Seasonal and Eternal Realms.
