Resin is one of those resources in Coral Island that the game doesn’t exactly tell you how to get. Luckily, we’re here to help you out.
This item is one of many artisan goods you can create and sell, or gift to villagers on the island. It’s also required for a few crafting recipes, so you’ll want to know how to get your hands on it.
Coral Island: Where to get Resin
Like all artisan products, you’ll have to create Resin on your farm. You can get Resin in Coral Island by placing a Tap on a pine tree. The Tap is an object you can unlock by leveling up your Foraging Mastery skill. It requires 50 Wood and three Bronze bars to craft once you unlock the recipe.
From there, find or grow a pine tree on your farm and place the Tap on it. Now, you just have to wait three days until you acquire Resin! As a side note, placing a Tap on a maple tree will get you Maple syrup, and the oak trees will get you Nutty sap. They all take three days to produce.

Once you have Resin, you can sell it for 145 coins. Another good use for Resin is as a crafting ingredient for these four items:
- Ultimate scarecrow: x5 Resin
- Silo: x2 Resin
- Gold watering can: x3 Resin
- Osmium watering can: x5 Resin
Resin is also a good gift to give to villagers. If you read our gift guide, you’ll notice that while no one loves it, Resin is a universally-liked gift. To start farming Resin, you’ll want to create a spot on your farm for farming the three types of trees and their Tap products.
Coral Island is available on Steam, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.
