Diablo 3 – The Reaper’s Wraps are found where you’d expect

First and foremost, the Reaper’s Wraps and how you get them are part of the Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls expansion. If you don’t have this expansion, you cannot obtain the Reaper’s Wraps. With that out of the way, obtaining the bracers is pretty simple. All you need to do is fight the final boss of the expansion, Malthael, located in the Pandemonium Fortress Level 2.

When you beat him, he explodes into a pile of loot. Blacksmith plans for the Reaper’s Wraps will be a guaranteed drop in this pile of loot, as long as you don’t already have them. Of course, the next step is bringing the plans to your blacksmith and crafting the bracers.

Use the plans with your blacksmith interface open, and Haedrig learns how to craft them. From there, just find the Reaper’s Wraps under the bracers section in the Forge Armor menu. The recipe requires the following items in addition to the plans:

  • 64,000 gold
  • 20 Reusable Parts
  • 20 Arcane Dust
  • 50 Veiled Crystals
  • 1 Caldeum Nightshade
  • 1 Arreat War Tapestry

Using the Reaper’s Wraps

In addition to being a sacrifice required by the Altar of Rites, the Reaper’s Wraps are a pretty powerful standalone item. The unique effect allows health globes to restore 25-30% of your character’s primary resource. This makes the Wraps an excellent item for resource-hungry builds, such as Star Pact Tal Rasha Meteor Wizards. On more sustained resource spending builds like a Whirlwind Barbarian, an equipped set of Reaper’s Wraps increases ‘Whirlwind’ uptime significantly.
