To get Polyberry Oil in Lightyear Frontier, players must first craft the Oil Presser from the Constructs – Crafting tab. It’s a simple construct to craft as all you need is 16 Stone and 12 Wood, which you can quickly obtain from rocks and trees around the game world.

After creating the Oil Presser, you’ll now need to unlock the recipe for Polyberry Oil. To unlock the Polyberry Oil recipe in Lightyear Frontier, you must collect seeds from Polyberry plants, using your vacuum. Below is an image of Polyberry plants, which can be found in the Meadows region.

After collecting some Polyberry seeds, it’s time to plant them in your Plot. A Small Plot costs 8 Wood and 12 Plant Fiber (if you still need to make one). You can plant seeds by using your Seed Shooter.

After planting the Polyberry Seeds, water them with your Irrigation Hose. Then, wait two in-game days until the Polymer is officially ready for harvest. You can harvest plants by collecting it with your vacuum.

Once you collect the fully grown Polyberry, the Polyberry Oil recipe will unlock at the Oil Pressure. Each Polyberry Oil costs one Polyberry and takes one minute to craft. I recommend you craft as many as possible in one visit to the Oil Pressure, so you’ll have enough to make items that require a handful.

What is Polyberry Oil used for in Lightyear Frontier?

Polyberry Oil is an essential resource in Lightyear Frontier as it will allow you to craft Aluminum Parts at the Assembler station. Aluminum Parts are one of the key materials you need to upgrade your Spike Saw, which is mandatory to progress in the game’s main story.

Polyberry Oil can also increase your Water Tank Capacity, which has helped me tremendously. More water in my tank has allowed me to care for my seeds quicker, reducing the number of trips to a water source.
