How to get Player Tokens in Monopoly GO

In Monopoly GO, players have a couple of different ways to express themselves. From themed shields to different player tokens, you can pick your favorite representations and play the game your way. Getting these different tokens, however, is much more difficult than people would think. Here is how to get player tokens in Monopoly GO.

What are player tokens in Monopoly GO?

When players start the game, they’ll have a choice of three starting player tokens: the dog, the boat, and the hat. There are many other ones to be found and collected, however.

Your collection of player tokens can be found in your showroom. To access your showroom, click on the shield slots in the top right of your screen. Alternatively, you can click on the showroom from the menu. Here, you can see all of the player tokens you’ve collected.

Upon filling a shelf by collecting five player tokens, the next shelf will be unlocked, and all the cash, dice, and sticker prizes on that shelf will be yours! The more you collect, the better the prizes get for your collection!

Considering that the player token is what you’ll be seeing most of the game, it is important to make sure it’s a token that you like!

How to get new player tokens in Monopoly GO

Player tokens aren’t something that gets handed out regularly, it’s quite a challenge to get your hands on one!

You may be able to get a player token after hitting a certain networth level, but most of them will be found by completing various events or challenges. Completing sticker albums will award you with a cool player token, but they are pretty demanding to fill, even with the generous time frame you’re given to fill them.

Once you’ve got a new one, however, just head on over to the showroom and select the one that you want.

There is currently no way to access player tokens that you’ve missed, but keep an eye out as they add new content to the game! You may be able to buy them back or take part in repeat events. Scopely still has big ideas for the game!
