Are you ready to open up the greatest weapon manufacturer in the galaxy? Here is how to get Plastoid, Durasteel, and Scrap Durasteel in LEGO Fortnite.
LEGO Fortnite: How to get Plastoid, Durasteel, and Scrap Durasteel
Plastoid, Durasteel, and Scrap Durasteel are the new items that you will need to collect in LEGO Fortnite to collect your prized Star Wars weapons like the E-11 and DL-44 Blasters, the Wookie Bowcaster, and even the infamous Thermal Detonator. However, to do so, you will need to unlock their recipes, which will require, in turn, collecting the aforementioned resources. Don’t worry, they are not as rare as you might think.
How to get Plastoid in LEGO Fortnite
Plastoid is a very particular resource because you will get it by doing what we all enjoy doing the most in Star Wars media: defeat and slaughter Stormtroopers. Each Stormtrooper will drop a specific amount of Plastoid when defeated, and you will find them at Empire Bunkers. Go ahead and use your Macrobinoculars to locate them. Note: you can find some Plastoid inside the cave leading to the Rebel Base, just open up some treasure chests and collect them.
How to get Scrap Durasteel in LEGO Fortnite
As the name implies, Scrap Durasteel – a subpar version of Durasteel – can be collected from crashed ships and also by destroying certain buildings. You will find some of these ship wreckage in the Rebel Base and also at Empire Bunkers, so again, make use of your Macrobinoculars to locate each of them. Oh, and you will need an Uncommon Pickaxe to destroy these, so keep that in mind!
How to get Durasteel in LEGO Fortnite
Finally, Durasteel is the processed version of the Scrap Durasteel you just collected. This metal used in starships as well as in Darth Vader’s helmet is obtained in LEGO Fortnite by processing Scrap Durasteel in a Metal Smelter. You will need the following resources to build it:
- 15x Brightcore: Found inside lava caves in the Dry Valley.
- 35x Obsidian Slab: Process Obsidian – found in lava caves as well – at a Stone Breaker.
- 3x Blast Core: Defeat Blasters – the enemy, not the weapon – inside Dry Valley capes.
Processing two units of Scrap Durasteel will render one single unit of Durasteel, so make sure to collect enough if you are planning to create every single Blaster, Bowcaser, and Thermal Detonator you are going to need to decimate the Empire’s presence in your LEGOfied version of Fortnite. Be sure to visit the crashed Star Destroyer to get valuable loot!
