Where to get the Perfect Taste ingredient in Destiny 2
You can earn the Perfect Taste ingredient by killing opponents with Precision Hits. You can tell you’ve landed a Precision Hit as the damage number will appear in Yellow. For most targets, you’re aiming for a headshot, although this isn’t always the case. The big issue with this ingredient is its rarity. I may just be unlucky, but I took over 40 minutes to find a single one.
I tried finding the Perfect Taste in the Vanguard Strike playlist but quickly realized it was too chaotic with two other Guardians hungry for kills. In the end, I took a trip to the Cosmodrome and farmed the Fallen and Hive around The Steppes Landing Zone.
I recommend something that hits hard and is single-shot for Precision Hits, like a Scout Rifle or Bow. I had success with the Brya’s Love Scout Rifle and the Wish Ender Bow, but you can do this with any weapon. Bows are great because they kill most regular enemies in a single hit and have a generous projectile size. It’s also worth trying to find a location where you’re not competing with other players, as your Precision Shots require you to aim.
Make sure you equip the Dawning Ship
Eva Levante sells a ship with a perk that increases your ingredient gains and is a massive help during the Dawning event. You can purchase the Starfarer 7M ship from the third page of Eva’s inventory, which costs Glimmer and Legendary Shards. While keeping the same Ship for the entire month may be boring, it takes the sting out of the grind.
