It looks like Animal Well, the game published YouTuber’s Dunkey‘s game studio BigMode, may be a hit with Metroidvania fans. I’m still learning the ropes, so moments like killing the ghost that you run into early on let me frustrated. However, I’ve found how to get rid of those guys. Follow along to make the ghost disappear.
Animal Well: How to get past the ghost explained and all Firecrackers location
Much like escaping the cat, the ghost will require a little bit of finesse to get past in Animal Well. The first time you meet the ghost on the left path, it will follow you on-screen till you leave its area. When I got here, I kept on trying to dodge it, but that didn’t work.Â
Since Animal Well does not have much in terms of combat, you can still defend yourself. Firecrackers are littered throughout the world. When you have them in your inventory, the game gets less complicated. You can find some on the right path opposite from where the ghost can be found. Once that’s in your inventory, make your way back to the main area where you were before. After, go back to the ghost. Now when it starts to come for you throw the Firecracker at it and it’ll dissipate.Â
As for the locations of Firecrackers, they are not collectibles and can be found almost everywhere. The best way to get some is by just going on the main path. Of course, you’ll find some if you do the side stuff, too. You’ll always run into a couple in most rooms.Â
What else can Firecrackers be used for?
Apart from fending off scary ghosts, they can be used in a few other ways. There are many candles on the main path that might be lit by them. You can also find animals like hedgehogs that crawl on platforms and will hurt you. Found this the hard way. But if you use the Firecrackers on them, they get scared and stop moving, making it easier to move on the platforms.
If Animal Well didn’t scratch the puzzle itch, surprisingly Honkai: Star Rail may. The Navigation Compass puzzles could fill that void.Â
