A new week opens the door for new Weekly Challenges for all of us to complete. However, what I have encountered quite often is that these Challenges do not explain very well what exactly you have to do, especially for specific types of kills. For Season 2 Week 3, we have a special Weekly Challenge that involves getting Operator Barebones kills, and it can get a bit confusing. You see, in prior games, Barebones was actually a playlist that disabled killstreaks and kill points, but it’s not present in Modern Warfare 3. So, what are Operator Barebones kills?

This time, it has nothing to do with a specific playlist, but rather the gun itself you use to kill enemy Operators. You see, Barebones is a state of your weapon, and to make your kills count toward the tally, you need to kill enemy Operators without any attachments equipped. Given the characteristics of the Haymaker — which is tied to the challenge — you will have no problems getting this type of kill as long as you play in small maps. I recommend playing the Small Map Mosh Pit since you will get a lot of chances to use your shotgun and also take part in objective-based maps and gain additional experience points.
