How to breed more people in Elder Scrolls Castles

The best way to get more people in Elder Scrolls Castles is through the use of the Bedroom to make the babies yourselves. So long as you keep on top of match-making your subjects and rotating them in and out of the Bedroom, before too long your castle is littered with tiny subjects.

If you’re especially lacking in people, it may be worth constructing a second Bedroom. When assigning people to the Bedroom, keep the following things in mind:

  • If a subject has a spouse or a lover, only pair them together unless you want a scandal on your hands.
  • Same-sex couples can make children, allowing for maximum baby yield.
  • Happier subjects get to the baby-making part quicker.

If two subjects enter the Bedroom together and aren’t lovers, they will become lovers, meaning you’ll want to pair them exclusively together in the future to avoid upset. If all of your castle becomes lovers or spouses by the end of your baby drive, then you can simply throw them all into the Bedroom again when you need more subjects.

Making babies this way increases your subject population by 50%, so make sure you have enough food to satiate them! It may be wiser only to create as many babies as you know you need.

It takes 24 hours for a baby to grow up into a usable adult, so this isn’t an immediate remedy. It’s free and reliable, however, so you can use the Bedroom whenever you need it. Note that subjects can’t make another baby for 24 hours after a visit to the Bedroom.

Whilst you’re at it, it may be worth keeping in mind what traits you’re breeding with, as you can selectively breed your subjects until you get the perfect subject that would make the perfect ruler. Don’t forget that any noble can rise to the throne. So marry your subjects to make them all noble for maximum choice.

How to invite more people in Elder Scrolls Castles

You can also get more people into your castle in Elder Scrolls Castles through a variety of other means that summon a subject to your castle.

Buying Subjects In Elder Scrolls Castles

Firstly, you may be awarded subjects from packs that are either awarded to you or purchased in the store. These subjects are typically valuable so they are worth keeping an eye out for.

Sometimes, rewards from tasks may be a special subject. They will be limited-time events, so keep checking back and completing the tasks before you lose your opportunity to gain a great subject.

Also, don’t forget that certain events tied to the story and flow of the game may give you subjects, such as when you build the War Table for the first time upon unlocking it. These are scripted events and can’t be repeated.

Finally, you can purchase subjects from the Store using Gems. They are typically pretty expensive and can die like any other subject, making them less than desirable unless you really want a specific subject.

The only grindable method of inviting new subjects in Elder Scrolls Castles is through the packs, although they’re not exactly easy to grind and you’re never guaranteed a new subject.

Now that you know these methods of having more people in Elder Scrolls Castles, you can get them to work to produce Gold in the best early-game Gold farming strat.
