Lime is one of many resources you can collect in Hades 2 that is required to unlock certain items, but how can you get it? If you don’t know where to look it can be frustrating trying to find a new item which is why I’ve made this guide to help you find Lime in Hades 2.
Hades 2: Best ways to farm Lime
Lime, short for Limestone, is a material required to unlock things like Incantations. But where can you get your hands on this resource? You can find Lime in Hades 2 throughout the Oceanus dungeon while you’re wielding your Crescent Pick.
Before you can even collect Lime, you’ll need to unlock the “Night’s Craftwork” Incantation from the cauldron. Near the beginning of Hades 2, you’ll unlock the ability to earn Incantations which are permanent upgrades. One of these allows you to unlock Gathering Tools such as the Crescent Pick.
The Crescent Pick isn’t only good for collecting Lime, but Silver as well. All you have to do is make sure you’re wielding it (select the Crescent Pick at the Silver Pool) and make your way through Erebus and into Oceanus.
Once you defeat Hecate, you’ll arrive in Oceanus. The only resource available to mine here is Lime, which you should see once in a while appearing in rooms. It’s a sandy-colored rock that you can’t miss. Mine it a few times and you should be able to collect three Lime from one rock.
Unfortunately, since each room is randomized you can’t target-farm Lime. You just have to continue on your journey and hope that you come across Lime. You’ll also only find it in Oceanus, so if you’re looking to farm it, get to Oceanus as quickly as possible.
With enough Lime, I was able to unlock Incantations such as “Gathering of Ancient Bones”. It’s a necessary ingredient to certain unlockables, so make sure to bring a pick with you if you’re planning to make it to Oceanus. Other than the Crescent Pick, there are many other tools you can unlock first that are handy in farming resources.
