Crafting is an essential part of life in Sons of the Forest. You’ll be crafting many things, from different weapon combinations, to using batteries to recharge your torch, all the way to armor. One of the armors you can craft in Sons of the Forest is the Leaf Armor. Although Leaf Armor may be one of the weakest armors in the game, if you need something quick, it’ll be your best bet.

Sons of the Forest: Leaf Armor recipe
Getting Leaf Armor in Sons of the Forest is frankly one of the easiest things you can do in the game. All you need to do is assemble the crafting materials required to craft the item. One of these items is leaves, which are, shockingly, very quick to find in a game set mostly in a place with a bunch of trees. You can find plenty of leaves just by taking your ax to the nearest shrub. When knocking it down, you should receive the pop-up in the bottom left of the screen that says you’ve received X amount of leaves.
The other item needed to get Leaf Armor in Sons of the Forest is cloth. Cloth is also relatively easy to find, if you don’t have any in your inventory already. If you’re unsure on where to find cloth, you can find it in the various enemy camps, caves, or any other marked locations in the game. It isn’t a naturally occurring resource, meaning you have to go to these places to find it yourself. Worry not however, because it is plentiful when you find it. But make sure to open those cases you find around the map, as they’re a good way of getting it.
Once you have both items, you should open your inventory. Then, put 10 leaves and a single piece of cloth into the crafting area — both are located in the bottom left of your inventory — and you should be able to get Leaf Armor.
Sons of the Forest is available via Steam.
