How to get infinite Rupees in Tears of the Kingdom (TOTK)

With this trick, you can score infinite Rupees in TOTK.

Rupees are hard to come by in the Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, but luckily I know an amazing infinite Rupee trick that is easy and quick to do. The trick is to duplicate gems or other items that sell for a lot of Rupees. I’ll show you how to duplicate items in Tears of the Kingdom so you can earn Rupees fast and easily.

Note: Instead of farming for Bomb Flowers, you can use this duplicate trick to create as many as you want.

Tears of the Kingdom: How to get Rupees fast and easily

Whether you’ve heard of the duplicate items trick or not, this method follows the same pattern but uses your highest-selling gems to generate an endless supply of Rupees in Tears of the Kingdom.

To start, equip a bow and Fuse whatever your most expensive material is to the arrow. Don’t worry, there’s no way for you to lose this item — only a way to double it. Also, whenever I do this trick, I need to remember how to cancel my arrow shot. For this demonstration, I chose to duplicate a Star Fragment because they sell for 200 Rupees, but you can use Ruby, Sapphires, Diamond, or any other gem. The higher you can sell it for, the better.

Next, open your menu and drop the bow that has been Fused.

Once that is done, equip a different bow. The next step is the trickiest part. Now you need to exit and enter the menu as fast as possible. To accomplish this, I place my thumb over the plus symbol on the Joycon and press it twice as fast as I can. When I do this, I exit and enter the menu very quickly.

The last step is to drop the bow you have equipped. If you’ve done it right, the second time you open the menu, you should see the item Fused to this bow.

All that’s left is to pick up both bows that are on the ground. If you’ve done it correctly, you should have one more of the item you Fused. If you didn’t exit and enter the menu fast enough, you won’t have a duplicate item but you won’t lose the item you tried duplicating.

Don’t worry, I mess it up too sometimes. The good news is this method is easy to do and it is fast. So, try again and you’re bound to get it right.

Here’s a quick recap:

  1. Equip a bow and Fuse your highest-selling item.
  2. Open your menu and drop the Fused bow.
  3. Equip a different bow.
  4. Exit and enter the menu as fast as possible.
  5. Drop the newly equipped bow.
  6. Pick up both bows.
  7. If you exited and entered the menu fast enough, you have one more of that highest-selling item.
  8. When you’re finished, sell your highest-selling item for tons of Rupees.
  9. Repeat the process!

Once you have done this process a few times, you’ll end up with a ton more gems than when you started. I started with one Star Fragment which could give me 200 Rupees, and after five minutes of doing this process, I ended up with seven Star Fragments which would give me 1,400 Rupees. If you follow this method and sell the precious item you duplicate, you can generate infinite Rupees!
