Crafting is extremely important in Remnant 2, allowing you to create deadly weapons for the increasingly difficult foes. Crafting one of the game’s best long guns requires the Imposter’s Heart, which this guide details how to get.
Where to find the Imposter’s Heart in Remnant 2
Players can get the Imposter’s Heart in Remnant 2 by defeating Faelin in the Palace Courtyard of Losomn. Faelin is available to fight during the Imposter King storyline.
Due to the procedural generation nature of the game, you won’t always receive the Imposter King storyline. To counter this, keep rerolling the game in Adventure Mode until you land on Losomn and the starting area is the Palace Courtyard. If you land on Palace Courtyard, you have started the Imposter King storyline and will get to fight Faelin.
Once you spawn in the Palace Courtyard, you will notice a giant door that is locked shut. Your goal is to find the Faelin Mural Piece and the Faerin Mural Piece, each found in the surrounding area. Depending on how you rolled the game, one piece is found in the level’s Malefic Palace or Beatific Palace section. The other mural piece is found in the Palace Courtyard itself.
After collecting both mural pieces, return to the giant door you encountered when you first started the level. Place both mural pieces into the platform on the ground (in front of the door) and rotate it until the platform’s lighter side faces the door. You must ensure the light side faces the door, or you won’t receive Faelin as a boss fight.
With the light side facing the correct way, enter the door to initiate the boss fight with Faelin. Defeat him to receive the Imposter’s Heart.

What does the Imposter’s Heart do in Remnant 2?
The Imposter’s Heart in Remnant 2 can be used to craft the Deceit Long Gun with McCabe in Ward 13. It’s really useful to have the Deceit in your arsenal as it comes with a mod built into it called “Ouroboros,” which conjures sword fragments around the player, dealing damage to everyone in proximity when using melee. Ouroboros is excellent for both defensive and offensive measures.
Keep in mind that the Ouroboros mod is built into the gun, meaning you can’t remove it. That’s okay, though, considering it works flawlessly with melee weapons. I like to pair the Deceit with the Spectral Blade.
