Are you wondering how to get Gleeok Thunder Horns in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (TotK)? A Gleeok Thunder Horn can be attached to a weapon or shield for additional fuse effects, used as an ingredient in an elixir, or used as a material to upgrade the Charged Armor set, making it a valuable resource. Unfortunately, it is not easy to obtain because it is only dropped by two extremely tough enemies: Thunder Gleeok and King Gleeok. Here is an easy-to-follow guide on where to find Gleeok Thunder Horns and how to defeat the enemy that drops them in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (TotK).
How to find and beat Thunder Gleeok in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (TotK)
The first Thunder Gleook is located near the South Akkala Plains at coordinates 3405, 1409, 0336.
The second Thunder Gleeok is located near Herin South Lake at coordinates 1158, -3579, 0060.
The third Thunder Gleeok is near the Coliseum Ruins at coordinates -1115, -1155, 0061.
How to beat Thunder Gleeok in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (TotK)
The easiest way to defeat a Thunder Gleeok is by shooting its three heads with your bow midair. This will stun the Thunder Gleeok, giving you ample time to hit the Thunder Gleeok’s heads with melee attacks. Once the Thunder Gleeok recovers from the stun, you want to back off and shoot the heads with arrows again. When the Thunder Gleeok’s health gets low, it will fly up and become unreachable. However, it will cast thunderbolts toward your location, leaving updrafts you can use to ride up with your paraglider to get within shooting distance of your bow.
How to find and beat King Gleeok in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (TotK)
The first King Gleeok can be found near Hebra Sky at coordinates -3841, 2729, 0707.
The second King Gleeok can be found near Necluda Sky at coordinates 3052, -2874, 1204.
The third King Gleook can be found near Gerudo Sky at coordinates -3710, -0973, 1715.
The fourth King Gleook can be found near Gleeok Den at coordinates 0065, 3129, -0622.
How to beat King Gleeok in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (TotK)
The start of the fight will be similar to Thunder Gleeok, where you shoot all three of its head to stun it. However, all three heads will have their health bar, meaning you must deplete each before it becomes stunned. I found it is easiest to use the Rocket Shield or Ascend ability to gain higher ground while attempting to shoot their heads. Once stunned, you can run up to it and melee attack each head. Remember that King Gleeok will attack you with many elemental attacks that will hurt you for a lot of damage, so you need to stay behind cover when not attacking. When King Gleeok reaches low health, it will fly. You can use the Recall on the ice spikes or your Paraglider on the updraft from its thunderstrikes to get within shooting distance of your bow.
