While playing World of Horror, you’ll soon notice that you need Funds to purchase items. This is the monetary currency in this survival horror game, and you only start your playthrough with a few. But what happens if you run out, how are you supposed to get more money? Let’s go over how you can get Funds in World of Horror.
World of Horror: How to increase Funds
On your character’s stats, you’ll notice FND with an amount, which is your Funds. To purchase items at the Shop, you’ll need Funds. How you can get Funds in World of Horror is by earning them randomly through events, or exchanging EXP for Funds at the Police Station.
First off, depending on your playthrough’s difficulty, you start with a different amount of Funds:
- Sceptic/Initiate: Five FNDs
- Cultist: Four FNDs
- True Believer/Harbinger of Doom: Zero FNDs
Depending on the random events you encounter, you have the chance to either earn or lose Funds. It’s based on an RNG system and skill checks. But there’s a much easier way to come by Funds.

If you have enough EXP, you can actually exchange it for Funds at the Police Station. During a mystery, walk into the station, and ask to share some information. For 11 EXP, you’ll receive one FND. Once you reach 100 EXP, your character reaches the next level, so keep that in mind if you’re wondering whether giving away EXP is worth it.
Interestingly, if you want to encounter all the events that World of Horror has to offer, try getting to zero Funds. Then, if you investigate a location, you’ll experience the ‘Out of Funds‘ event, which can only happen if you’re at zero Funds.
Each choice you make during this event will end up leaving you with some extra Funds, so don’t be too worried about being poor once in a while.
