How to get Flash of Inspiration in Destiny 2 Dawning 2023 event

The Dawning event is upon us and tasks Guardians with hunting unique ingredients from all corners of the Solar System. Some ingredients are pretty straightforward, but others require some thought. If you’re struggling, let me show you how to get Flash of Inspiration in the Destiny 2 Dawning event.

Where to get the Flash of Inspiration ingredient in Destiny 2

The in-game description for the Flash of Inspiration reads: “Gained by Generating Orbs of Power.” Generating Orbs will yield plenty of Flashes of Inspiration, but as this ingredient is rare, you won’t always get as many as you think.

I’ve had great luck amassing a ton of Flashes of Inspiration in the Vanguard Strike playlist. Orbs of Power are typically generated by using your Super ability. Just keep in mind that Supers generate different amounts of Orbs. For example, the Titan Bubble only throws out a couple of Orbs when you activate it. You’ll generate far more using a Roaming Super that amasses tons of kills.

Are there any other ways to make Orbs of Power?

While Super abilities are the most consistent way to create Orbs of Power, they aren’t your only option.

You can install Siphon Mods in your Helmet to generate Orbs when you defeat targets with a specific element. These Mods will require the right weapon, but it’s an easy way to get a few extra Orbs and, hopefully, Flashes of Inspiration. The Reaper Mod can be used on your Class Item to generate even more Orbs after using a Class Ability.

If you don’t have space on your Armor to fit Orb-generating Mods, you can experiment with Weapon Perks and the Seasonal Artifact. The Season of the Wish Artifact has a Perk called Wished Into Being that generates Orbs, and many weapons can roll with Attrition Orbs. Ultimately, you don’t have to min-max like this to get Flashes of Inspiration, but Orbs are always good as they benefit the entire team.
