How to get fish bait in Destiny 2:

How to get fish bait in Destiny 2: Season of The Deep

Pocket full of worms.

Finally, Destiny 2 has added the only update that matters since the game began: a fishing mini-game. Dotted across the map lie fishing spots where you can cast your line. You can catch many different fish of varying sizes and types. This adds just one more collection element to the game that my already dwindling free time simply doesn’t need. You can use bait in Destiny 2 to catch better fish. However, you can also use no bait at all. If you want the best fish for your collection, you’ll need to know where to find those tasty worms.

Somehow, catching fish without any bait in Destiny 2 is still possible. Those little guys must be starving if they look at an empty hook and still think it’s worth a nibble, but I digress. To catch the best fish to add to your aquarium in the H.E.L.M, you’ll need to get only the finest chum for the end of your line. Thankfully, there are an awful lot of ways it can be acquired.

To get fish bait in Destiny 2, you must participate in playlist activities, public events, and patrols. You can also participate in the two new events added with Season of The Deep. Both Salvage and Deep Dive provide the most bait in my experience. Therefore, if you’re looking for full pockets of worms, these are my recommendation. Both Deep Dive and Salvage can be launched from the Helm on the destinations tab of the game. With a decent team, it’s possible to blast through the mission in about fifteen minutes and get back to the all-important task of fishing. On completion of the missions, you will be paid in fish bait in Destiny 2. The economy is obviously suffering if that’s all you’re getting paid for risking your life.
