Palworld: Where to get Fiber
Fiber drops from trees and is easy to miss early on as Palworld explicitly tells you to pick up stones and branches off the ground. Once you build your first Primitive Workbench, you can craft a Stone Axe with 5 Stone and 5 Wood. The Stone Axe makes short work of trees, and you’ll quickly amass a decent stockpile of resources.
The Stone Axe is ideal, but you can resort to using your hands to gather resources in a pinch. If you punch a tree, you’ll eventually get Wood and Fiber, albeit at a much slower rate than with the right tool. Fiber is an essential material to gather as you need it to craft beds for yourself and your Pals, and it is even required for items like bows and repair kits.
Do trees grow back in Palworld?
While I can’t confirm the exact respawn time, yes, trees grow back in Palworld. The tree respawn timer seems to be quite generous, so you’ll always have a healthy supply of Wood and Fiber at your disposal, especially if you build your base near a forest.
Are there any easy ways to get Wood in Palworld?
When your base reaches level 7, you can create the Logging Site Structure. The Logging Site is required to level up your base anyway, so you’ll be required to make one as part of regular gameplay. The Structure is pretty expensive, costing 50 Wood, 20 Stone, and 10 Paldium Fragments.
Once you have one, you’ll have an unlimited wood supply, although you still need to gather it. Fortunately, your Pals will usually seize the initiative and chop wood for you, so you’ll always have some when you return to base.
Once you’ve progressed through the tutorial tasks, you’ll end up at Rayne Syndicate Tower. Check out our guide if you get stuck when you venture inside.
