Bungie is tweaking the way Enhanced Perks work and their availability in Destiny 2: The Final Shape, making all three Tiers accessible. This makes the various weapons in the game much more customizable, provided you have the resources and know-how.
How to unlock Enhanced Perks in Destiny 2
Previously, only weapons found in the Root of Nightmares and Crota’s End raids could be enhanced. However, with the introduction of The Final Shape, the ability to enhance the perks of weapons is being opened up to almost all of them.
To keep things fair and competitive, adept weapons picked up will still get better perks on enhancement.
Tier 1 Enhanced Perks
To unlock the first tier of Enhandes Perks on your Destiny 2 weapons, simply head into the weapon inspection screen. Here, in place of the usual Masterwork logo, you will be able to select the option to Enhance.
Doing so will replace the Masterwork and will cost several Enhancement Cores. In place of the Masterwork, the weapon will receive a level, an enhanced intrinsic that matches the masterwork, and a memento socket.
If you are upgrading an Adept weapon, it is still necessary to head to the Relic on Mars. However, these Enhanced weapons in The Final Shape will also have the option to adjust the first two perk columns.
Tier 2 Enhanced Perks
This can be unlocked when the weapon level reaches 11. Leveling up weapons is just a case of grinding out kills, so find your favorite ADS slaying spot and crack on.
Once the weapon has reached level 11, it is possible to purchase Enhanced Perks 2ier 2 in Destiny 2: The Final Shape. This will upgrade all the left-column traits for your Enhanced weapon.
Tier 3 Enhanced perks.
Upon reaching weapon level 17, tier 3 of Enhanced Perks can be unlocked. This will upgrade all the perks in the right-hand side column. You will now have a fully enhanced weapon to use in Destiny 2: The Final Shape.
As we all make the push towards the 1965 Power Level day one raid requirements, I have no doubt this new Enhancement system will come in handy. The reworked weapon customization is the perfect way to make the guns you love just that little bit better.
