Genshin Impact’s daily commission system is getting a huge revamp, bringing it closer to Honkai: Star Rail’s daily mission system. As revealed in a new Developer Discussion posted on social media channels, Genshin Impact will now allow you to perform a variety of other tasks instead of doing daily commission quests to earn your daily commission rewards. These rewards can give you up to 60 Primogems if you do them all, but they can take a bit of time. With the addition of “Encounter Points,” you should be able to save time while earning the same rewards.
Here’s how to get Daily Commission Rewards with Encounter Points in Genshin Impact.
Encounter Points in Genshin Impact
Encounter Points are currently not in Genshin Impact, and will be added to the game in Version 4.1. However, HoYoverse has released some details about how the new Encounter Points system will work. It is not a replacement for the current Daily Commission system. Instead, it will be an addition to the daily commission system. Starting in this version, you can do the following tasks to earn Encounter Points. After earning these points, you can claim your usual Daily Commission rewards. Here are some of the things HoYoverse revealed you can do for Encounter Points in Genshin Impact:
- Quests
- Event Participation
- Exploration
- Material Collection

No specifics are known yet as to how these other daily missions will work, such as exploration or which materials you’ll need to collect. We’ll add more details about how Encounter Points work in Genshin Impact when they are officially added to the game. Note: To utilize Encounter Points, your account will need to either be Adventure Rank 35 or have completed Archon Quest: Chapter II: Act III. If you have not fulfilled one of the above conditions, you will not be able to claim Encounter Points. (You will still be able to participate in Daily Commissions.)
HoYoverse also stated that the claim attempts and reward cap for Encounter Points and Daily Commissions are shared. This means you will be able to mix and match your rewards. (For example, you can do two Encounter Point tasks and also complete three Daily Commissions.) There will not be an increase in rewards, this is simply a quality-of-life addition designed to help players save some time while doing dailies every day.
