If you are lucky, these villagers will save you a visit to the caves, which is more like saving your life. Here is how to get Cut Sapphire and Cut Ruby from villagers in LEGO Fortnite.
LEGO Fortnite: How to get Cut Sapphire and Cut Ruby from villagers
While visiting caves in LEGO Fortnite is a fun and blood-pumping activity, the truth is that surviving inside them or even getting the materials you are looking for in them is pretty difficult. Talk about difficulty and extremely abysmal drop rates. Anyway, thankfully, there is a way you can slightly circumvent this by using your villagers. Let’s get right to the point before we get to specifics. To get Cut Sapphire and Cut Ruby you will need to build a village and have a villager assigned to a Gem Cutter in the following biomes:
- Cut Sapphire: Frostlands.
- Cut Ruby: Dry Valley.
Why does this work this way? Well, because Sapphires and Rubies grow in the caves located at the Frostlands and the Dry Valley biomes, respectively. Passively, each of these villagers will eventually get and even use the Gem Cutter to get a treated gem from the caves – although you probably never see them visit them because it is all automated.
To craft a Gem Cutter to assign villagers to, you will have to collect the following materials:
Gem Cutter Materials
- 20x Marble Slabs: Find and collect Marble in caves and then use the Stone Breaker to convert it to Slabs.
- 4x Rough Amber: Use an Uncommon Pickaxe to mine Rough Amber from Amber veins.
- 5x Sand Claws: Defeat Sand Wolves in the Dry Valley:
- 3x Sand Shells: Defeat Sand Rollers in the Dry Valley.

Be sure to visit your village after you have explored all around the area to collect potential treated gems from your villagers. With luck, you will get the last Cut gem you were waiting for, saving you a trip to the aforementioned dangerous caves, which are way harder in the Dry Valley and Frostlands areas.
