In many games like Moonstone Island, you would get clay from digging around the beach area or other areas with patches of clay. Moonstone Island, however, is built differently, requiring you to do something else entirely. Here’s how to get Clay in Moonstone Island.
Obtaining Clay in Moonstone Island
First of all, you need to have a Spirit Barn. How to get that is explained here. Once you have a Spirit Barn, you have everything you need to get clay.
Put some Earth Spirits in your Spirit Barn by sending them to your stalls. You can tell which ones are Earth by looking at their summary, where it tells you their typing. Then, feed them for a few days. Now, knowing how to properly feed them is more complex than it might look. You have to select the food you want, then mouse over the highlighted Spirit Stall and click again to put it inside. Do not feed them by selecting the Spirit and clicking Feed. This will not count as feeding them while they’re in the Spirit Barn.
Keep feeding them for a few days, and they will leave behind a ball of clay as a dropping. We know it’s a dropping because the quest about Spirit leavings is called Spirit Poop. You’re welcome for that one.
When you see a ball of clay left behind, all you have to do is gather it by clicking like you would any overworld item. Now you have clay in your inventory for future use, and you know exactly how to obtain it. Just be sure to stock up on things to feed your Spirits. They will run away if you do not continuously replenish their stalls.
