Brightcore is one of the materials you’re going to need in order to make some new Utility Tables, upgrade weapons and tools, as well as add some lighting to your blocky home away from home.

Where to find Brightcore in LEGO Fortnite

Brightcore is found on the walls and ceilings of Desert biome caves. Specifically, you’ll want to make sure that the cave has lava inside it, as Brightcore seems to only spore near the hot, molten stuff.

They look like yellow and orange rocks. As a pro tip, I discovered with my friends that there are times when you can hit things that are attached to ceilings in LEGO Fortnite. Sometimes, the resource is too far, but if the ceiling is close enough, you should swing your Pickaxe to see if you can hit it. You may be surprised at the range.

It’s also worth noting that Brightcore requires a Rare Pickaxe in order to mine it. To make one, you’ll need Flexwood and Sand Claws to craft. Fortunately, you won’t have to search too far, as these can also be found in the Desert biome.

How to find a Desert Dry Valley Biome in LEGO Fortnite

With every seed (or world) in LEGO Fortnite being different, there’s no specific direction you can head in to find a desert or ‘dry valley’ biome. Instead, you need to just try and reach high ground and look for the telltale red-brown terrain, cacti, and rocky cliffs.

In my opinion, Desert biomes are the hardest to find in LEGO Fortnite. It’s also incredibly hot when you do find one, so make sure that you’ve prepared by crafting a Cool-Headed Charm (3 Silks Thread, 3 Sand Shell, 1 Marble) at an upgraded crafting bench to increase your resistance to the heat. Alternatively, you can make some Snowberry Shakes (2 Snow Berry, 1 Milk) to temporarily increase heat resistance at a juicer.

What Is Brightcore Used For?

Brightcore is used to upgrade melee and ranged weapons, as well as craft new utility tables like the Metal Smelter and Oven. We’ve included a list of everything you’ll need this material for below.

  • Tier 5 Weapons
  • Metal Smelter – 15 Brightcore, 35 Obsidian Slabs, 3 Blast Cores. You must also have upgraded your Village to Level 9 to unlock the crafting recipe.
  • Copper Bar – 1 Copper Ore, 2 Brightcore
  • Oven – 8 Brightcore, 15 Copper Bars, 35 Obsidian Slabs
  • Lights, Lamps, Streetlamps and Lanterns

Nice, so you now know how to get Brightcore. You can go brag about it to your friends. But that’s not even the best part. The best part is that you now also know how to get Obsidian in LEGO Fortnite.
