Diablo 4, like most RPGs, has a huge swathe of materials and ingredients to collect for crafting and recipes. Finding them all takes a lot of time and, in most cases, quite a bit of research. Some items can only be found in certain areas of the map, and others, like Balefull fragments, you can only get by destroying certain weapons. If you want to be able to get the best of the best when it comes to armor, you’re going to need to know where to find everything. Here’s how to get Baleful Fragments in Diablo 4.
How to get Baleful Fragments in Diablo 4
Baleful fragments are used in higher-tier imprinting and upgrades at the Blacksmith. He is also the only guy who can give you them. Currently, you can only get Baleful Fragments by salvaging Legendary Weapons, Shields, and Offhand Frills. The sacrifice doesn’t even guarantee a Baleful Fragment, either, so you may end up scrapping a Legendary piece for nothing.
Baleful Fragments are a late-game item. You’ll only really start to get your hands on them when you begin to have an abundance of Legendary gear. It won’t be necessary to collect Baleful Fragmebnts till much later in the game, think level 50 plus. Hold off on scrapping the first Legendary you find. You will only get Baleful Fragments in Diablo 4 from weapons. Scrapping armor has a chance of awarding Coiling Wards, and jewelry may drop Abstruse Sigils.
What are Baleful Fragments for?
Baleful Fragments in Diablo 4 are used for upgrading Legendary weapons and armor to their highest levels. Without this incredibly hard-to-get material, you’ll forever be wearing unoptimized gear. The sacrifice is going to be a few Legendary pieces for the one you want, so choose carefully. You need to make sure the piece you’re going to upgrade is worth the loss. It may take a few Legendary Weapons.
As you play through Diablo 4 you will end up with a ton of Legendary weapons. Sacrificing them for the baleful fragments won’t even hurt… much.
