How to get and farm Wrathful Hearts in Diablo 4

Hopefully, this will give you less heartache when searching for them.

Caged Hearts are rather important in Diablo 4, and probably the standout mechanic of the Season of the Malignant update. These hearts are interesting because you can take your builds even further outside the Paragon Board. It seems Blizzard Entertainment wants you to be more strategic when creating builds, and the Malignant Hearts seem to be the solution to that. Most of the Caged Hearts are fairly easy to acquire, you can earn them through the various enemy drops or easily craft them. However, the one Caged Heart that’s been causing players to scratch their heads is the Wrathful Heart, which is the rarest of all to find. If you’re lost, you’ve come to the right place. This guide will show you how to not only get but farm Wrathful Hearts in Diablo 4.

The first thing to note is in order to get the Wrathful Hearts, play on the Seasonal Server.

Moving on, the next thing to know is that Wrathful Hearts are actually easy to find and farm. I surprisingly spent more time getting Wrathful Invokers to make the hearts, than I did finding the Wrathful Hearts in Diablo 4. That’s because Wrathful Invokers appear in a different manner than the normal Malignant Invokers.

My advice would be to run through the Seasonal Dunegons called Malignant Tunnels. They have a higher chance of dropping the Wrathful Heat, and other resources to create other hearts. However, if you don’t obtain it from your first go at it, reset the dungeon and do it all over. Your chances will increase quickly, plus, you’ll earn more resources to craft even more of the other hearts. On top of that, it also seems like Elites in the tunnels drop the hearts as well.

Also, another important note is that you must be playing on World Tier 3 or 4 to acquire most of these hearts. You can play on the first 2 tiers, but you’ll only run into a specific amount of Wrathful Hearts.

What are the Wrathful Hearts good for?

Each of the Caged Hearts will impact specific attributes of your build, so it’s good to experiment with what works. Wrathful Hearts are centered around Super Power which is different depending on your class. Since these hearts are the strongest, it makes sense as to why they are rarer than the other 3.
