Wuthering Waves: How to get and farm Howler Cores

If you are expecting Howler Cores in Wuthering Waves to be a chore like getting the Sierra Gale Echo, it’s not. However, farming the resource can feel like you’re putting in work. On the other hand, this guide will speed up the process, so you don’t have to go out of your way.

There are several ways to farm Howler Cores, and we’ll break down each method. That way, you have more time playing and less time searching.

Ways to farm Howler Cores

Synthesizing: Depending on your item’s rarity, you can convert items to higher-quality ones. Howler Cores are considered high-quality items. You can find a Synthesizer in the main city of Jinzhou near Uncle Wei’s weapon shop. I have spent a lot of time here converting items and getting important ones like Howler Cores, I recommend you do the same.

Store: This is the easiest and most convenient way to get Howler Cores as long as you have the funds. When you head to the store, you can buy a core for 15 Oscillated Coral, which are rare on their own. The store also resets monthly, so before it does try to get all five available during that month.

Hunting Echoes: Doing this method is great for a few reasons. You get to level up your Data Bank, get more echoes, and have the potential to have Howler Cores drop. However, the monster you want to look for echoes like Cyan-Feathered Heron, Roseshroom, and Spearback. There’s more, but I’ve had better luck with these echoes because they seem to have a consistent drop rate.

Forgery Challenges: If you’ve been playing tons of Wuthering Waves like I have, you can probably tell how important these challenges are. Note that to get the rewards from these challenges you need to spend about 40 Waveplates. Doing so will give you a plethora of rewards such as Howler Cores.

Once you get enough Howler Cores, you might be able to level up Yinlin in Wuthering Waves.
