WoW Classic: How to get all ingredients for Treats For Greatfather Winter Quest in Season of Discovery

If there was any doubt that the Greatfather Winter is Santa Claus, then his asking for some Gingerbread Cookies and Milk should dissipate them immediately. The Feast of the Winter Veil is here and many of the classic quests are here for you to discover and complete.

Now, while you are certainly used to completing Mythic+ dungeons and fighting the hardest enemies that World of Warcraft has ever conceived, cooking a batch of warm cookies surely sounds like a fairly easy task. And that’s because it is. You will have to be at level 10 to start this quest, which will have you interact with the Greatfather Winter himself. You can find it here, depending on your faction:

Greatfather Winter (Human)Ironforge33.2, 65.8
Greatfather Winter (Orc)Ogrimmar52.4, 68.8

You will have to please the Greatfather by bringing him some Gingerbread Cookies and Ice Cold Milk. You can purchase the Ice Cold Milk at the local vendors in both Ironforge and Ogrimmar, but you will need to know how to cook to prepare a fresh batch of Gingerbread Cookies. You only need to learn the skill, not level it up. Visit the following NPCs to do so if you haven’t already:

Gingerbread Cookies Recipe in WoW Classic

The cookies’ recipe can be bought from the same vendors in both cities. This will require you to collect two items:

  • 5x Holiday Spices
  • 5x Small Eggs

You will need five of each because you need to give a total of five cookies to Greatfather Winter. You can get the Holiday Spices at, you guessed it, the town’s vendors. The Small Eggs are a bit trickier. You can purchase them at the auction house for an increased price due to high demand or you can try to get these eggs from small bird-like creatures or just birds. Places such as Lakeshire or Westfall for the Alliance or Mulgore for the Horde will be great to farm these.

Treats For Greatfather Winter Quest Rewards

Once you have collected and cooked all the treats, get back to Greatfather Winter to receive the following rewards:

  • Smokywood Pastures Gift Pack:
    • 10x Copper Bar.
    • 4x Bolt of Linen Cloth.
    • 10x Light Leather.
    • 10x Mageroyal.
  • 1,650 Experience.
  • 25 Reputation with Steamwheedle Cartel.

And that’s pretty much it. If you have the money to purchase the eggs, then I recommend just purchasing them so that you can save yourself a decent amount of time that could be invested otherwise. This will ultimately depend on how costly the Small Eggs are, so be wary of that as well.
