How to get all Ascension Weapons in Granblue Fantasy Relink

Craft these weapons for a huge boost to your attack power.

Crafting and upgrading weapons is a key part of the postgame in Granblue Fantasy Relink, and Ascension weapons are some of the strongest in the game. Each character has an Ascension weapon that can dramatically enhance their attack power, even more so than standard weapons.

Ascension weapons are a special class of weapon in Granblue Fantasy Relink. They appear alongside the standard weapons on the blacksmith’s crafting list so they might not seem particularly unique at first glance, but there’s more to these weapons than meets the eye. Underneath their names, each weapon has a description like “Stunner,” “Defender,” or “Stinger.” Some of them will say “Ascension Weapon,” and that’s how you know you’ve found the right one.

Ascension weapons can be upgraded to level 150 just like every other weapon in Granblue Fantasy Relink, but they can then be Awakened after reaching the level cap to unlock even more stat boosts and Traits. Ascension weapons are unique because they come with an Attack Trait by default, and they’ll also gain HP and Damage Cap Traits as they level up.

Once an Ascension weapon is fully Awakened, it will unlock the Sigil Booster Trait which increases the level of every equipped Sigil by one. This is one of the best buffs you can get in Granblue Fantasy Relink, and it’s the reason why many people are grinding for their Ascension weapons instead of the late-game Terminus weapons.

Ascension weapons are unlocked at the blacksmith after finishing the main storyline of Granblue Fantasy Relink. After seeing the credits and starting Chapter 0, you’ll officially be in the postgame and the blacksmith’s crafting list will be updated with Ascension weapons for every character.

Crafting each Ascension weapon requires some rare materials obtained by completing quests on Very Hard difficulty and above. You’ll spend a lot of time grinding for resources in Granblue Fantasy Relink, so you’ll likely have a stash of elemental orbs and boss materials ready to go by this point in the game. You’ll also need a Champion Merit to craft each of the weapons. This is a rare drop from harder quests, so you may need to repeat some side quests if you get unlucky.

Once you have an Ascension weapon for your main character, you’re ready to start dealing insane damage on the battlefield. Remember that Granblue Fantasy Relink has a Damage Cap in place for attacks and skills, however, so you’ll need to incorporate certain Sigils into your build if you want to raise your numbers as high as possible.
