When you caught Cattiva early on, you may have noticed upon examining them later that the deck entry was not joking about them all being cowards.
Every single one caught in the wild has the Coward trait, decreasing its attack, but Cattiva may not be entirely useless in combat — here’s how to get a Cattiva without the cowardly trait in Palworld.
Cowardly trait-free Cattiva guide
It’s possible to get a Cattiva without cowardly, but not likely by catching them naturally in the wild and hoping for the best. Instead, you have to turn to breeding, specifically breeding pairs that can produce a Cattiva without needing either parent to be one.
Several breeding pairs can produce a Cattiva:
- Cremis and Lamball. By far the easiest pairing to get.
- Vixy and Lamball. Not quite as easy but also viable.
- Lifmunk and Teafant. Doable if you can catch both of them.
- Mau Cryst and Mau. This and the next two require more exploration to obtain.
- Hangyu and Chikipi.
- Hangyu Cryst and Chikipi.
Assuming none of these Pals are cowardly, you can breed them in hopes of producing a Cattiva that will inherit their traits instead of being cowardly.

Of course, to do this, you need to be able to breed Pals. You’ll need a Breeding Farm set up in your base (100 wood, 20 stone, and 50 fiber to build), as well as a Wheat Farm (3 wheat seeds, 34 wood, 35 stone) and Mill (50 wood, 40 stone) to ensure you can make Cake (5 flour, 8 red berries, 7 milk, 8 eggs, 2 honey) in a Cooking Pot (20 wood, 15 ingots, 3 flame organs). Then simply assign the work Pals from the combinations above and bide your time. Soon enough, you’ll have a Cattiva without the cowardly trait in Palworld.
