Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 has been plagued with stability issues since launch. It seems that crashes are difficult to avoid and they can happen while playing a match, or even when you’re just in the main menu. A Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 error is telling players that their profile has been signed out during a match. Shortly after this message pops up on your screen, you’ll be kicked out of your multiplayer or battle royale game. Speaking from experience, you’ll lose a bunch of SR and get hit with penalties if you’re unfortunate enough to get this error in Ranked Play. It’s definitely a frustrating problem, so you’ll want to find a fix as soon as possible.
Steps to fix the ‘Your profile was signed out’ error in Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2
Some players have been reporting that the error could be linked to the voice channel that you’re in. One fix you can try is to switch your game voice channel to either ‘Party Only’ or ‘All Lobby.’ To do this, open up the settings and go to the audio section. Scroll down until you find channels and under game voice channel, choose either aforementioned option. Keep in mind that if you’re on ‘All Lobby,’ the whole lobby will be able to hear you.
If in doubt, restart your game
As always, restarting Modern Warfare 2 or Warzone 2 could do the trick. You may have already tried this method, but its always worth giving it another go, especially if you’re getting the error frequently.
At the time of writing, its unknown if Activision is working on a fix for ‘Your profile has been signed out’ error in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2. In the past, some errors have been fixed, but there are still far too many that are ruining matches. All we can do is keep an eye on the official Call of Duty Trello Boards for any updates on the issue.
