LEGO Fortnite, being an online game, does have some errors that players may come into contact with. The Very High Complexity Area error is one that truly breaks the game, however. Here are possible solutions to this problem.
What is the Very High Complexity Area error in LEGO Fortnite?
The Very High Complexity Area error in LEGO Fortnite is debilitating, preventing players from building anything. This error essentially stops the life and blood of the game, so you’ll need to try and find a fix immediately.
Considering the error disallows buildings while stating that there is very high complexity in that area leads me to believe that the area has too many objects for the game to support for some reason. This error has been reported on consoles, so perhaps the consoles can’t handle the high entity count, and disallows building in that area before the game starts to suffer.
This seems to me to be a safety system to protect the game, however, it prevents you from playing the game, which is no good.
Unfortunately, no official outlet has commented on this error, so for now, you’ll need to try the following home-brewed solutions.

Fixing the Very High Complexity Area error in LEGO Fortnite
As there is no official solution to the Very High Complexity Area error in LEGO Fortnite, you’ll have to try the following remedies that are a general go-to for fixing minor errors.
Instead of resetting minor things one at a time, I’d recommend restarting the device and your router. This will serve to remove smaller issues and bugs. Simple solutions typically help in these situations. Once restarted, launch Fortnite back up again and enter your world.
If you still can’t build, it may be worth monitoring how much clutter is in that section of the world. You can either destroy buildings and objects or space them further away, so there isn’t so much complexity in that one area.
Before you destroy anything, destroy one inconsequential object and see if you can place something. If you can’t, then don’t destroy anything else.
Until Epic Games fixes this, you may want to start a new world. This isn’t typically desirable, but you can start a sandbox world to play around in until you can place objects again in your main world.
I hope this hasn’t been too disappointing, but Epic Games should get around to fixing this game-breaking error soon.
