Toward the end of The Keeper Vault in Last Epoch, players are experiencing a bug where they can’t talk with the NPC. If you’re experiencing this bug, read on to discover the fix.

How to fix the Speak with the Keeper Guard bug in Last Epoch

Whether you’re online or offline, Last Epoch players are reporting that The Keeper Guard quest is bugged. No matter what you do, you can’t interact with him to progress the quest. Luckily, a temporary workaround has been discovered.

Pereg1907 on Reddit mentioned that you can fix The Keeper Vault quest bug by walking back to the previous zone and then returning. The reason you’re experiencing difficulties with this quest is that an NPC is supposed to be following you during The Keeper Vault, but they may get stuck in the last zone or not transfer over correctly.

Returning to the last zone and then coming back has been confirmed to work to fix this quest bug. After returning with the NPC, you should be able to speak with the Keeper Guard without problems.

Alternative bug fixes

If this fix doesn’t work for you, you can try restarting your game. If you’re playing online, restarting your game and coming back in forces you to wait in a queue and hope the servers aren’t slammed. I recommend trying the first in-game fix before restarting Last Epoch.

If you’re playing online and experiencing this error, it’s likely being caused by server issues. If you’re playing offline and getting this quest bug, try the two fixes above. One of them should get you moving forward.
