Players eager to play Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor are experiencing slow or stuck downloads. It’s not a big game — it’s less than 2 GB — but here’s how to fix your Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor download issues.
Deep Rock Galactic Survivor: How to fix slow or stuck download speed
The good news is that Funday Games, the developers of Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor, has acknowledged the slow and stuck download speeds. On Twitter (or X) and Steam, they’ve posted updates telling players to sit tight while they figure out what is causing this issue.
From their Steam post, it sounds like Funday Games isn’t sure if the issue is being caused by Steam or if it’s something on their end. However, from the Twitter (or X) post, it sounds like they are blaming Steam for slowing down download speeds or stopping it altogether.
While my download of Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor was quick and easy, others are experiencing this issue. My fellow PC Invasion coworker Anthony Yates experienced a stuck download with Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor. He just waited and let the game sort itself out and, eventually, the game finished downloading.
There is no true fix for slow or stuck download speeds for Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor at this time, but you can try giving it time. You can also try stopping and restarting the download to see if that clears away the error. The ultimate fix will come from Funday Games soon, so we just need to be patient.
If you’re one of the unfortunate souls who is stuck in R&D and can’t launch into Deep Rock Galactic, you can make good use of your time by planning which Class Mods you’ll unlock and main. Let’s give Funday Games some time to fix this issue and hope we can get to rocking and stoning soon.
