How to fix Mastery Levels not unlocking in Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League

Having trouble increasing Mastery Levels?

Once you reach the endgame of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, you’ll unlock Incursion missions which are meant to be endlessly replayed at higher and higher Mastery Levels to earn better gear. Some players are having trouble unlocking more Mastery Levels, however, which is putting a stop to the endgame grind.

How to Unlock New Mastery Levels in Suicide Squad KTJL

To unlock more Mastery Levels in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, all you need to do is complete an Incursion mission at the highest possible difficulty. Finishing your first Incursion at the Sweating Bullets difficulty will unlock Mastery Level One, for example, and then completing a mission at Mastery Level One will unlock Mastery Level Two. This process repeats as missions get harder and harder, earning you more loot in the process.

The problem is that some players are beating missions on the hardest difficulty and not unlocking the next difficulty tier. If that’s the case for you, then there are a few things you can fix. The first fix (which worked for us) is to play other Incursions at the same Mastery Level. Sometimes the game just doesn’t process that you’ve completed a mission on the highest possible difficulty, so the next tier will remain locked. This is especially common if you’re grinding the same Incursion over and over, so try switching things up.

The next fix (which also works for most Suicide Squad problems) is to restart the game. The Suicide Squad servers haven’t had the smoothest ride since launch, but a quick reboot usually fixes most issues that pop up. From the clan menu disappearing to mission rewards not popping up, restarting Suicide Squad will typically fix your problems.

Even after trying these fixes, however, some players have found themselves permanently unable to unlock new Mastery Levels. This is a bug caused by playing online with other players at Mastery Levels that you don’t have unlocked yet, and it’s a common occurrence on the Suicide Squad support forum. If nothing is fixing the problem for you, then you’ll unfortunately have to wait for Rocksteady to release a patch that addresses this issue. In the meantime, playing online with other people will let you bypass the restriction.

Mastery Levels are the best way to get good gear in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, so being locked out of them is a huge pain. Playing at higher Mastery Levels is the fastest way to increase your Finite Crisis rank too, which unlocks new content like the Killing Time survival mode and the endgame version of the Brainiac boss fight. Hopefully, Rocksteady will patch this issue sooner rather than later.
