Star Wars Hunters: How to fix login failed error

Some gamers trying to access Star Wars Hunters on launch have been met with a login failed error popping up on their screens. So why is this happening and how can you stop it? There could be many reasons for this error, but here are some possible solutions.

Change date and time

As explained in a Reddit thread on the Star Wars Hunters subreddit, one player who was experiencing the login failed error found a solution in making sure to have accurate date and time settings.

Check to ensure your date and time settings are accurate to your time zone by going to your Nintendo Switch settings, selecting “Date and Time” under System, and synchronizing it with the internet to get the most accurate time. If you had the wrong day or time you may find this solution to help.

Check internet connection

Whether you’re getting this error while playing on your Switch or mobile device, perhaps you’re not getting a stable enough connection for Star Wars Hunters to connect. Make sure that you’re playing in an area close enough to your router and with a strong internet connection.

If it seems that all gaming locations don’t work well, try unplugging your router, waiting 10 seconds, and then plugging it back in. Although game launches are never smooth and always come with connection issues, perhaps it’s just your internet.

Reinstall game

This should be a last-case resort, but since it’s not a very huge game it shouldn’t take you long to uninstall and reinstall Star Wars Hunters. Some players have attempted to delete all data on their Nintendo Switch regarding SWH and reinstall it to see if the error persists.

If reinstalling SWH and every other solution hasn’t worked yet, my suggestion is to simply stop attempting to log in for some time and come back later. Thousands of players are attempting to log in at the same time during a big launch like this, so it’s likely that you’re experiencing connection issues due to server overload which can be mitigated by attempting to play SWH at a different time.

If you’re tired of trying to play Star Wars Hunters on Nintendo Switch or mobile, there may be a way for you to play Star Wars Hunters on PC.
