How to fix Left and Right Mouse Button map errors in Last Epoch

If you’re having trouble remapping the Left and Right Mouse Buttons in Last Epoch, you’re not alone. Normally, changing the Left and Right Mouse Button inputs isn’t too challenging, but if it is, you may be experiencing a temporary bug.

How to change LMB and RMB inputs in Last Epoch

To remap LMB, or Left Mouse Button, and RMB, or Right Mouse Button, in Last Epoch, you need to press Esc, open Settings, select the Change Input Keys button in the Gameplay tab, find the Action you want to change, select that Action’s Mouse box, and click LMB or RMB. If it’s not that easy for you to do this, then you’re experiencing a bug.

Many players like to remap LMB and RMB to movement and attack actions in ARPGs. In Last Epoch’s Early Access period, you could do this with no problems. However, as confirmed by ehg_trasochi, a Last Epoch dev on Reddit, there is a bug that caused the team to disable the option to switch move and attack keys on the mouse.

Well, at least we have concrete proof that remapping movement and attacks on LMB and RMB is currently disabled in Last Epoch. But when will it return? ehg_trasochi said, “We’ll re-enable the option with the bug fixed in a hotfix,” but we don’t know when the hotfix is coming.

In fact, Prestigious_Set_4575 commented on the same Reddit thread that the last time this bug appeared, it took two months to fix it. That’s an alarming amount of time for people who can’t play Last Epoch how they want to because of the disabled LMB and RMB customizations.

I hope the hotfix for LMB and RMB remapping doesn’t take two months, but the truth is we don’t know how long it will take. Hopefully, Eleventh Hour Games will identify this issue as a high priority and tackle it quickly, but we can’t know for sure. What we can know is what the best Rogue builds are in Last Epoch.
