Planning ahead is a huge part of success in Manor Lords, and building places to store your raw ingredients and processed goods is crucial unless you want things to go bad or get stolen.
When you’re first starting out in Manor Lords, you’ll likely encounter a red notification that reads “generic storage full.” This can be a complicated problem to solve for new players, but once you understand what needs to be done, it’s an easy fix. As long as you build the right buildings and have enough people available to work, there won’t be any issues.
How to Fix Full Storage in Manor Lords
To fix the generic storage full error in Manor Lords, you need to build enough dedicated storage facilities and have enough available workers to transport and supply buildings with excess materials.
In Manor Lords, generic storage refers to the storage of goods like wood and stone. These are stored in Storehouses, which are dedicated storage facilities for nonperishable resources. You’ll use a lot of these for construction, so it’s a good idea to stock up on them. That’s why a lot of players end up running into the generic storage full problem though.
If your generic storage is full, you either need to build more Storehouses (found in the Logistics tab of the Construction menu) or have workers assigned to those Storehouses so they can distribute goods where they’re needed. Building more Storehouses is an easy fix, but getting workers to distribute stored goods is a more involved process.
Even if you have workers assigned to your Storehouse, they may not have anywhere to take the goods. Make sure you’ve built a Marketplace so workers can set up stalls to sell goods. You should also make sure that your Burgage Plots are connected to the Marketplace and storage buildings with roads so they can be connected to the network and receive goods like food and supplies. You can click on a house to see if it’s receiving any goods from Marketplaces or Storehouses.
Stocking up on goods like food and fuel is paramount in Manor Lords, especially if you want to survive the harsh winters where resource requirements are doubled. Grow your population to prepare and have enough hands for work, but make sure you’re capable of feeding everyone.
