Hey, nobody’s perfect, and neither is Diablo 4. As with any new release these days, the game has come out with one or two, or maybe three bugs. In the age of always online games and easily rolled-out patches, studios are usually more than happy to release a game with a few problems. Diablo 4 has its fair share, but we can look past most of them. Gaspar Stilbian seems to be one of these small bugs, as sometimes he has a little problem with spawning, but there is a fix. Here’s how to fix Gaspar Stilbian not spawning in Diablo 4.
Gaspar Stilbian spawn issue in Diablo 4, explained
Good old Gaspar Stilbian is a great source of Crushed Beast Bones, a hard-to-come-by and rather essential material in Diablo 4. The bone farm wanders listlessly out of his cave and simply waits to be slain. Somehow he is counted as an extremely rare elite monster, but he’s pretty pathetic to be in that class. He can be found in Fractured Peaks, just west of the Whispering Pines dungeon. Well, until he doesn’t spawn anyway.
I found that there was a bug in the game which, no matter how long I waited, he simply wouldn’t shuffle out to his death. There are some really quick and easy fixes for this bug, though, so I suggest you give these a try.
- Reload the area – Simply leave by teleporting away and come back again. This should fix the bug with Gaspar Stilbian spawning in Diablo 4.
- Wait – If another player has recently slain him, he may take a little time to gather himself together. Wait a while, and sad Gaspar Stilbian will turn back up.
- Restart your game and internet connection – This seems a little drastic, but it has been reported to fix the bug. Switch off Diablo 4, close your Battle.net client, and turn off your modem for 2 minutes. Restarting it all can cause Gaspar Stilbian to spawn in Diablo 4.
- Check your Diablo 4 updates – Constant patches are rolled out, and there will be one to fix the issue of Gaspar Stilbian not spawning in Diablo 4 very soon.
Blizzard will, of course, address most of the Diablo 4 bugs soon enough, including this one. Keep your ear to the ground and auto-updates enabled.
