Smashing your car around the not-so-barren wastes of the Olympic Exclusion Zone is not good for your ride. When you see the Crack status on your car, things could be about to get very wrong for you in Pacific Drive unless you fix it. Here’s how.
How to repair Crack Status in Pacific Drive
The Crack status will appear as a little yellow symbol on your windows in Pacific Drive. This may not seem like a big problem, but ignore it, and you’ll end up with no windows. No windows mean no protection. To fix the Crack status, you need to build a Sealing Kit and use it on your cracked window. At the Workbench, combine two Duct Tape, three Rubber, and one Glass Shard.
Once you have the Sealing Kit, approach the cracked window and spray until the kit is empty. This will fix the crack in your window and have you ready to get back out in Pacific Drive.
Sealing Kit
These kits are one of the items I deem to be essential to every journey into the Olympic Exclusion Zone. They are used for more than just the crack status. The Sealing Kit is also used to fix burst types while out on the road. They cost very little and can save you from being stranded with the storm slowly closing in. Keep one in your trunk at all times.
The Sealing Kit can only be used once. If you decide to use it to fix a crack status on a window, that will use it all, and you will have to construct it again. Thankfully, most of the items it takes to build one can be easily recovered from simply scrapping cars. The Rubber needed can be found in tires, glass in doors, and Duct tape in the trunks. If you need a flashlight, we’ve got a guide for that.
