All Unicorn spawn locations on The Island Ark Survival Ascended

While Unicorns are rare in Ark Survival Ascended, they do have spawn locations south of Winter’s Mouth and The Northern Plains, west of The Frozen Tooth, east of The Western Approach, northwest of Weathertop, east of Drayo’s Cove, two spots in The Southern Islets, Cragg’s Island, Herbivore Island, and The Dead Island.

All of the above spawn locations have the same probability of spawning a Unicorn. The safest places to search for Unicorns and the places I would search first are the two spots in The Southern Islets, east of Drayo’s Cove, Cragg’s Island, and Herbivore Island. The reason why I’d search those spots first is because they have less dangerous dinos roaming about, offering the chance to safely hunt Unicorns.

How to tame and ride Unicorn in Ark Survival Ascended

Once you find a Unicorn, you tame it the same way you tame other herbivores. I recommend using bolas and a wooden club to immobilize and knock it out. Make sure there aren’t nearby carnivores or players who could potentially ruin your taming process.

Depending on the Unicorn’s level, it can take hours to successfully tame it using berries. The best food to use to tame a Unicorn is simple kibble and rockarrots. If you use either one of those foods, the max amount of time it takes to tame a Unicorn is less than 20 minutes.

Once the Unicorn has been successfully tamed, you can ride it by using an Equus saddle. Besides bragging rights and beauty, the Unicorn doesn’t offer much in the way of offense, defense, or mobility. Make sure not to lose it though because, again, they are very rare and special.
